Everything was clean, super nice boss
We spent 10 days here and had everything in our small, pretty apartment that contributes to a relaxing holiday.
Cozy, quiet guest house with a friendly welcome and delicious breakfast.
Very friendly welcome at Pentecost 2020. Everything was clean, delicious breakfast and very nice location for cycling u. Hike.
Very nice guest house in a quiet location with a very friendly atmosphere and very good breakfast.
We spent wonderful days there. Cozy rooms, everything was clean and tidy. Bathroom with shower, kitchenette with everything you need. Very tasty breakfast. Within walking distance everything very easy to reach. All in all very recommendable. We will definitely be back
We had a nice holiday in a functional apartment. Cycling on the Moselle is a pleasure.
Nice reception by Mrs. Thomas. Room large, quiet and clean. Good breakfast! We recommend!
Everything was very nice and friendly very good breakfast and a very nice hostess we felt very comfortable
We experienced a very nice short break in the guesthouse and winery Thomas! Mrs. Thomas greeted us warmly, the 1-room apartment was clean and everything we needed was available. For bike rides and walks Leiwen is a good starting point. Also for beautiful bathing possibilities is taken care of like the panorama bath in Leiwen and the beautiful swimming pool in Schweich. Our 1-week holiday was great !!
We drove spontaneously over Pentecost for 2 nights with the motorcycles to the Moselle and stayed at the guesthouse Thomas. We were warmly welcomed by Mrs. Thomas. Our room was bright and clean and the breakfast was good. Wi-Fi is also available in the house (the access data are in the rooms). What was great for us was that we could put our mopeds in the big garage. All in all, we felt well and will definitely come back again ...
All in all, okay. Good: nice welcome and contact uncomplicated. Nice, tidy outdoor area with a small streamlet. Very spacious room with access to a spacious balcony. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, if not much choice. Speaking of thrifty: The interior of our room (and the house) was of the style something between 90s Pressspahn and 60s tile bathroom. Everything functional, but also anything but modern. The manual of the remote control suggests that the main customers are probably older. No WLAN!! ? Only cash! All in all okay, but somewhere else in the region for the same money you get noticeably more comfort.
I would like to speak again here and say something to the review of M. Steinecke. As I said almost every year guests in the guest house with family Thomas and can only say that anyone who is looking for a place to stay, also has the right (with every purchase yes so!), The "goods" before to look at , These things that you complain about, you should have already noticed when entering the apartment. Did you point that out to Mrs. Thomas? Sometimes it is also good to get some food for thought and can clarify some things directly! Among the "counted things": Have you ever rented a room for an event in a restaurant? There are extra lists with hooked reception and handover columns !!! Why did not you step back from the night and look for something more "appealing"? Use the accommodation and afterwards "madig" make-this is cheap!
At the end of September this year we visited the Thomas guest house in Leiwen on the Moselle. On arrival we found an externally well-kept property. In the house, in the rental area, we found the style of the 70s. We lived in a so-called holiday apartment and a double room on the first level. In the app. Was the floor area already redesigned with laminate. There was still an older carpet in the double room. In the bathroom of the double room, the water in the sink did not drain. Likewise the water in the shower of the app. The bathroom of the app. Had an unpleasant smell. Whether this from the loo stones hanging in the toilet or otherwise it was not detectable. In both bathrooms the shower fittings, as well as the handrails for the shower curtains, were in need of renewal. The equipment of the app. was getting used to. A trash can was the cheapest paper basket with a plastic bag. No lid, no nothing. Dishes, cutlery and pots were precisely counted. Yes, no part more than absolutely necessary. The glasses are a hodgepodge. In general, we had the impression that the equipment in the kitchenette (without wall units) was a collection of items from the flea market. As an app. Not optimally equipped for self-sufficiency. W-Lan is probably available in the house. But only for a fee. A "no go". Our conclusion: Bathrooms should be brought up to today's (light) new state. Towels and bath towels also need to be replaced after a while. For hygienic reasons, carpets are not suitable for renting. Furnishing apartments with crockery, cutlery, glasses, etc. should urgently be reconsidered. Free WiFi is part of the rental standard. Landlords should think about it, if you want to make good money you have to offer appropriate rental quality. Finally, I would like to point out that this criticism is also made because we ourselves were active in renting out for years. For us it has always been the case in the rental sector that I should offer it to my tenants the way I want to live. A note for Ms. Thomas: For the assessment of the stay in your home, it does not matter why, why or why we spent time in your home. Your reference to a "youth hostel price" is already charmingly formulated on the borderline. You just can't get criticism.
We were very nicely received in August. We were actually looking for a double room and it was already a bit late, so if we continue to Trier we would probably have landed in expensive hotel. Mrs. Thomas has offered us, as it was possible at short notice, a holiday apartment for the one night. Everything was fine. The whole house is maintained and kept mainly by the family Thomas itself. Were there again recently. In the meantime also balcony with Siberian larch, thus solid wood floor, how Mrs. Thomas proudly reports. In addition meanwhile a renaturierter brook ripples - thus brook bed through the place cleanly developed - by Leiwen and past the house. Very pleasant breakfast, the room looks like a larger living room, furnished with fine, old furniture, z.T. nice antiques. The breakfast table was completely different from hotel catering: nice and individually set as for private guests. In the breakfast room - as well as in the rooms - detailed tourism material, clean arranged and updated. In addition, Ms Thomas knows what is happening in the region, e.g. Trier, is just offered. At breakfast we also read in a lavish, illustrated history book about Leiwen. Again, Mrs. Thomas knew well. It still includes small vineyards to the house, so it is still a winery as for generations - and of course you can take this wine. In addition, Mrs. Thomas - a specialist in everything that is green - gave us another room planter offshoot, which did not fit into the window after months with us. So an accommodation tip for those who value the (often promised but rarely actual) "personal atmosphere", holiday with "locals" - and fair prices.
We stayed a week in the apartment with family Thomas. The rooms are very bright and large with kitchenette. Mrs. Thomas is a great woman and if you ask her you get everything possible. We will go back next year. A large balcony overlooking the vineyards and 2 minutes to Moselle
Once and never again Gästehaus & Weingut Thomas. We stayed there for 1 week. The stand with the yellow sack is right next to the balcony door in the sun, now it wasn't that bad, but how will that be in summer? Since there is also the entrance to the kitchen. The trash can consisted of a paper basket with a bag without a lid. The paper and cardboard were collected in a paper bag. When we booked, it was € 15 final cleaning, on the bill it was € 15 ancillary costs. When asked about this, Ms. Thomas said she could do what she wanted. But if we were so meticulous, she would also like to have the key at 10am on the day of departure. In a closet door my husband opened because he wanted to take something out, we found a note. The dishes are to be cleaned by the guests. On departure, the beds had to be pulled off and the room left clean (broom clean). Ms. Thomas also had certain office hours. We have been going on vacation for 33 years at the beginning with 2 children but we have never experienced anything like that. We even asked about the vacuum cleaner in the middle of the week. We vacuumed the room; I have even stripped the beds in a five-star hotel so far. That's a kak for me, only we didn't pull the bed down here and handed in the key at 9 a.m. Mrs. Thomas should have a look in her cupboards, there was no ladle, no tea strainer or hair strainer, I scrubbed some pots first. You had to ask for a broom and shovel first. You can't recommend the guest house & winery Thomas with a clear conscience. !!!!!!!!!!! "
Guest house & winery Thomas in Leiwen we liked, but the landlord (Mrs. and Mr. Thomas) did not understand that the apartments, apartments and rooms guesthouse & winery Thomas have a lifetime. In normal use, the household wears and should not invoice guest house & winery Thomas in Leiwen worn household goods If something breaks, in normal use. Also, our booking office found it outrageous how the landlord of the apartment had treated us. Next time we look for another landlord in Leiwen, never guesthouse & winery Thomas.
